Who This Training Is For?
This training is for womyn who want to learn how to facilitate and lead womyn’s circles that are built on integrity, the sharing of power and creating relationships where womyn feel truly seen and known.
Becoming a Radical Witness will invite you to acquire a specific and unique set of tools based on not fixing anyone who enters your circle but instead, learning to meet them where they are.
Whether you have been leading womyn’s circles before or are brand new to the art, this training will teach you a completely new set of skills and tools to create circles that womyn are hungry to return to over and over again.
The Heart of Radical Witnessing
Becoming a Radical Witness is about learning to hold space that is free of judgment, criticism and unconscious beliefs that we hold about behaviors or thoughts being right or wrong. Becoming a Radical Witness is about learning to hold sacred, safe space that allows others to access their voice, power, direction and clarity in life.
Becoming a Radical Witness is not about doling out advice or the correct path to self-healing - it is about listening. As we become Radical Witnesses, we learn to attune to the humans sitting in front of us, their specific needs, wants and desires. We learn to hold space for the miraculous unfoldment of Truth as it presents itself uniquely in each soul.
Learning How to Hold Space is a Form of Radical Activism
In Level 1, you will learn seven different skills that will guide you in becoming a Radical Witness.
Level 1 Curriculum:
8 Weeks
All levels are highly experiential. You will get to learn and practice space holding skills in every class and in every level.
Class 1
A Discussion on Space Holding:
-What are our expectations around space holding and facilitation? What beliefs do we bring with us into this work? How do our past experiences inside of womyn’s circles inform the way we approach this work?
Class 2
The Art of Question Asking: We will learn and practice how to use questions to deepen your circles. We will learn what questions to avoid and when to use “the golden questions”.
Class 3
The Art of Mirroring: We will learn and practice the art of verbal reflection.
Class 4
The Art of Noticing: We will learn how to notice body language, facial expressions and tone of voice and why mirroring this is an important element in circles.
Class 5
The Art of Silence: We will practice the art of silence and when to use it in your circles.
Class 6
The Art of Non-Linear Perception: We will practice how to bring in synchronistic thoughts, images, dreams and ideas into your womyn’s circles.
Class 7
The Art of Reducing Shame: We will practice how to use the art of personal storytelling in your circles.
Class 8
The Art of the Unspoken: We will practice listening for the deeper feelings underneath the content of what is being shared and how to reflect that back to circle members.
In Level 2, you will deepen into the impact and healing quality of this work, learn six more Radical Witnessing tools, learn how to navigate conflict in circles and begin to create a business cosmology around the circles you lead.
Level 2 Curriculum:
8 Weeks
Class 1
A Discussion on the Business of Womyn’s Circles: What kind of financial model can we look to in order to operate sustainable and regenerative womyn’s circles?
Class 2
The Art of Getting it Wrong: When we “miss” someone in the circle, how can we repair this in real time? How does this nourish our circle?
Class 3
The Art of Advice Giving: A conversation about advice. Is it ever useful and if so, when do we use it?
Class 4
The Art of Trauma: We will explore how Radical Witnessing is inherently trauma-informed and how to skillfully work with trauma brought into your circles.
Class 5
The Art of Countertransference: How to recognize our feelings (as facilitators) toward others in the circle and how this guides our facilitation.
Class 6
The Art of Conflict: We will learn how to navigate conflict as it arises in circle - between you (as the facilitator) and circle members and between others in your circles.
Class 7
The Art of Relationship Building: We will learn how to put all the tools of Radical Witnessing together in order to build deep and lasting relationships in your circle.
Class 8
The Art of Putting All The Skills Together: An experiential class where we practice and use all the skills learned in level 1 and level 2 and learn how to structure and run a circle based on the art of Radical Witnessing.
In Level 3, each facilitator will have the opportunity to run two circles in real time using the tools and structure of Radical Witnessing
Level 3 Curriculum:
9-13 Weeks
The longevity of Level 3 depends on the number of students. We will have a minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 6 students in every cohort. This will determine the length of Level 3 as each student will lead two circles. Class sizes are kept small to make sure each student gets intimate instruction.
Class #1 - #12
Facilitation Practice + Supervision: Students will take turns facilitating a group in real time during class and then will have time to ask questions and process the facilitation.
Last Class of Level 3
Group Witnessing + Celebration: Our last class together will be a 2-hour ceremonial event and group witnessing where we honor and acknowledge the way that each womyn has stepped into her role as a facilitator.
Certification
At the end of Level 3, each student will receive a Certification in the Art of Radical Witnessing and will be certified to run Radical Witness Circles by way of the structure and tools taught to them. Students will have the opportunity to list their circles on Jen’s website after graduation.

Logistical Deets
This training is for womyn who want to learn how to run and facilitate womyn’s circles in a specific structure and form. This structure and form offers womyn the chance to be seen, heard and reflected in community without dogma or judgment.
All training will be held online via Zoom.
Trainings will be recorded and sent out to you the day of the class. Recordings will only be shared with students in the class.
If you want to become certified, you may only miss one live class per level as all material is highly experiential.
In order to become Certified in the Art of Radical Witnessing, you need to complete all three levels of training.
At this time, we are accepting cis-gender womyn into the training as well as folks who were identified female at birth but may now identify as non-binary. Trans-masculine folks are also welcome to apply. The term womyn will be used throughout this training but please know we are aware and inclusive of gender non-conforming folks.
Each cohort is limited to six people so please apply early.
