My Coven: My Community
Join a revolutionary group of womyn that are about to become the pillars of support in your life for years to come
REGISTRATION OPENS MARCH 17
As adults, we often struggle with where to find friends. Who are our people and where the flip do we meet them? And even more importantly, who can we actually rely on to hear us, witness us and see us without judgment, without trying to fix us and without trying to give us advice? Who can we tell our weirdest, strangest and most eccentric thoughts to? Who will hold us as we let ourselves become the womyn we want to be? The leaders we want to be? The creatives we want to be?
Who will we rely on, look forward to talking to and trust to cheer us on?
It’s hard to make time in our busy lives for adult friendships but I think we need it. No, I know we need it. These circles offer a way to carve out time and commit every month to meaningful and purposeful space with your beloved friends and those who will become your dear and irreplaceable friends.
I am honored to introduce you to, My Coven: My Community.
We Gather Because We Must
For the past six years, I have been running small and sacred groups of womyn’s circles. The initial circle of womyn that I began holding space for six years ago, is STILL meeting today. We have created a cohesive, supportive and incredibly loving group together that I feel will reach out into the rest of our lives. The friendships we have built, the trust we have created and the respect we have shown one another is one of the great joys of my life.
There have been other circles over the years that have been JUST as powerful yet ran for shorter durations. One thing surfaces over and over again with all of my womyn’s circles:
there is no stronger force than when womyn gather in safe community together.
Many womyn tell me that they do not know how they would have made it through their life without these circles. I believe them. I have seen it. I have seen womyn in these groups lift each other up, become great and deep friends and learn what it truly means to have support in their lives where before, there was a vacant hole.
The Lay of The Land
My Coven: My Community is a monthly circle that meets virtually for one year. After one year, circles reassess and decide whether they wish to continue for another yearly cycle or if they wish to dissolve the circle.
All circles are limited to four womyn in order to create a cohesive, connected and intimate group space. (At this time, we are only accepting cis-gendered womyn and non-binary humans who were born and assigned the female gender at birth.)
Many circles have been and are formed by womyn reaching out to their friends and inviting them to be part of the circle with them. In this way, you have the opportunity to deepen friendships that you already have and get to know one another in more intimate and authentic ways.
Of course, there are other ways circles are formed as well. If you do not bring a friend group with you (no shame in this!), then you will fill out an application to be placed in the group that bests meets your needs and desires.
What To Expect In A Circle
Circles are a mixture of astrology and the art of space holding. At the beginning of each circle, I offer a mini-astrology update based on the current transits and happenings in the sky. This helps the circle ground into the energy present in the collective. I also pull a tarot card for each circle to guide our time spent together and to listen to the archetypes that are speaking into the circle for that day.
Then, each womyn gets an opportunity to share what is “most up for her” in her current life. After she shares, the circle witnesses her, offers reflections and feedback as well as any astrological insights about her chart that may be helpful.
I then follow up with reflections and feedback, as well as astrological insights to help womyn understand the current challenges and joys of their life.
Each circle is not only an opportunity to get to know your chart but also the charts of all the womyn in the group. These groups have served to usher womyn into becoming well-versed in astrology, some even moving on to practice astrology themselves. Each circle is based on my core philosophy of holding space and doing so in a trauma-informed, intentional and deeply attuned way. To understand more about what I mean by my “core philosophy of holding space”, you can listen to this podcast episode right here.

Why A Coven?
I use the word coven to mean a sacred gathering of womyn - a ritual space. Right before a circle, the energy changes and the air thickens. Everything becomes electric. We can feel that something magical is about to take place.
A coven is an opportunity to return to slower, more intentional forms of gathering where our sense our heightened and our sensitivities are celebrated.
We will be practicing ancient arts in these groups: astrology and tarot. With these divinatory practices, we call in the arts of the ancient ones and the wise womyn who have come before us.
A coven, is meant to embody the container that holds the rituals that we create together and the community we build over time.
“I have never felt more like myself in a circle than this one with Jen. We've been meeting since 2019 and it's one of the spaces I look forward to the most each month. I've been in many circles in the past that left me feeling over-exposed or forced to participate in weird ways. This circle feels so organic and a genuine invitation to show up exactly as you are. It's the best combination of spaciousness and structure. If you're looking for a regular place to show up and feel heard, this is it!”
-Stephanie H
"I've been part of circles that Jen facilitates for six years, and I find that her capacity to hold space is like opening up a portal to a universe where all of me can come alive and be seen. There's something profound in the way she holds groups and nurtures belonging; the fullness and wholeness of who I am is witnessed, appreciated and affirmed and reflected back to me in a way where I can grow. Her spaces feel like a haven where no matter the weather outside, I am right where I need to be and I can find my stepping stones to an embodied me."
-Allie A
“Participating in Jen’s My Coven: My Community container has been absolutely life-affirming. It is a space where I can bear my soul, be deeply seen and witnessed, and receive genuine support and guidance. It is a space where we come together as sisters to learn about astrology and how it is impacting our lives in real time. It is a space where we love and honor our uniqueness and truth. Jen holds a space of total acceptance. She honors the spectrum of humanness we each embody, and breathes life into the many facets of life we come to the call with. I love this container so much, it has supported me in moments where I felt my lowest, and has celebrated me at moments where I have felt most empowered. It is true sisterhood, true community, and true compassionate witnessing. I highly recommend Jen and her containers to all!”

FAQs
Do I need to have an understanding of astrology to join this circle?
No, not at all. Many womyn join these circles who have no experience in astrology or tarot. All astrological explanations will be given so that beginner astrologers can understand what is being talked about. This circle is not directly centered on astrology, it is simply a tool that enhances the circles and our knowledge of one another.
How does it work if I want to invite my friends to join?
If you have a group of womyn that you want to put together yourself (meaning you have two or three other womyn besides yourself that you want to invite) I highly encourage that. It has been deeply powerful to have groups of friends come together and learn how to be in sacred space with one another.
Will there be an application process?
Yes, for those who are not coming in with a friend group (nothing wrong about that!), there will be an application process in order to place you in the right group for your needs and desires. Applications will be available when registration opens.
What does “holding space” mean?
Many of my clients come to me and say, “You know Jen, after learning how to hold space, I feel more frustrated with my female friendships and relationships. No one knows how to listen and everyone tries to fix me!” I know, I get it. Being in these circles helps you find other womyn who truly know how to “hold space”. Meaning, we do not try and fix one another or even give advice. We can allow one another to be exactly where we are without judgment and without criticism. We can simply support, witness and reflect what we see, hear and feel. This is a different kind of space than most of us experience socially and it has proven over and over again to be a space so many womyn are hungry for. If you want more information on my space holding philosophy, please listen to my podcast episode that explains it.
I’ve had a bad experience in womyn’s circles, can you speak on that?
Yup, absolutely. I welcome those of you who have felt judged, shamed and criticized in spaces of other womyn. In fact, I especially welcome those of you with these kinds of experiences. These womyn’s circles directly work to heal communal experiences of shame, judgment and places where we’ve felt we had to perform in order to fit in. You will get a totally different experience in these circles, experiences built on acceptance, freedom and love.

Hola, I’m Jen
I am honored to have been leading womyn’s circles most intentionally since 2017. Although, I have been leading them in some form since I was in college all the way back in 2008. I bring my experience in all kinds of communities and circles to this work as well as a masters degrees in counseling from Pacifica Graduate Institute. I am an avid student and lover of astrology and tarot and have been studying Archetypal Astrology since 2010. I also have a small, 5-acre farm with my wife in Northern New Mexico where we raise dairy cows, chickens and a rowdy herd of barn cats.
